Visual storytelling has the power to change lives - whether from sitting in a dark theatre, immersed in cinema, or from the personal stories shown in portrait photography and photojournalism. People are moved and changed by pictures. I have been fortunate enough to see my work on a big screen a few times and with each viewing has confirmed to me that I will be a picture-maker, in some form or another, for the rest of my life.
I am a full-time freelance filmmaker, specialising in cinematography and videography. I’ve had the opportunity to work with the BBC as a Camera Assistant, shoot independent shorts and create promotional videos for a whole range of clients, from the University of London to many more. For many years I have also been a stills photographer covering everything from portraits to weddings and events, and have been featured in the following publications: BFI (Twitter), BFI Future Film (FB, Twitter, Insta), Daily Mail Online, News Shopper, YourLocalGuardian, Croydon Advertiser (now MyLondon) and others.
In my time so far as a filmmaker and photographer I have been incredibly fortunate. My hope is to continue to tell stories that are personal, that understand what it means to be human. Some important realisations are lost in this modern world and it would be my great pleasure to remind people what they have forgotten.
